Let’s have a picnic!

They always say everything tastes better outdoors. But I say it tastes even better in bed!

Sometimes we don’t want to get out of bed. Or sometimes we need to set up a picnic in the living room. If you are a judgmental person who thinks eating in bed is bad, then you can just click on to the next page. I’m a big fan of bed picnics. Now granted I usually try to make sure that the bed is made so you don’t risk the chance of getting crumbs in it. Ultimately the whole bed picnic concept is fully centered around a relaxing laid-back meal centered around a good movie or a good show.

The best part about bed picnics is they are random. You never know when one will pop up! I thoroughly enjoyed one yesterday during a gloomy afternoon/evening.

What constitutes a good bed picnic you ask?

First, you need a comfy location. The point is that you aren’t sitting at a table and it should be more intimate and relaxing. Set up the pillows, a little blanket, or tablecloth, grab a small tray so that you have an even stable location to place your food or drinks.

Second, you have to have some food. It doesn’t really matter what it is. It could be a charcuterie board, take out from your favorite restaurant, the world is your oyster. Yesterday we enjoyed a little pizza and salad from our favorite pizza place.

Third, are some delicious beverages. That could be water, champagne, soda just something to wet your whistle.

The fourth and final thing in preparation for a fun time is some comfy clothes. I put this last since I am guessing that nowadays most of us are fully grasping and enjoying the new normal of loungewear. I mean why wear jeans in bed or on your living floor for that matter.

The best part is there is no worry about the weather, ants, bees, or other forces of nature. If the bed isn’t your jam, then just enjoy a picnic indoors or in your backyard. The weather was so gloomy and chilly yesterday it was perfect for a bed picnic and some good shows. Stop and enjoy a picnic today! Cheers!
